Position Summary
Senior Software Test Engineer to test and debug software for a wide range of wireless test and measurement applications.
Main duties and responsibilities include:

Software test planning
-
Software test analysis and design
-
Software test implementation and execution
-
The ownership for the testing of a major part of a project

Understanding market and technical requirements in conjunction with marketing and members of the software development team
The candidate will also be expected to mentor junior members of the team

Requirements
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent within an engineering related discipline. In addition, the candidate will have passed the ISTQB-ISEB Software Testing Foundation Certificate, though an Intermediate Certificate would be preferred.
Applicants must be confident in C++, C#, Python, STAF and Object Orientated design. Substantial experience in RF test and measurement techniques is essential. Debugging on a Microsoft Windows platform is preferred, though other platforms would be advantageous.
The candidate must have a systems level understanding of Cellular Communications, typically W-CDMA, GSM and LTE. Experience with non-cellular standards such as WLAN and BT would be desirable.
The ability to work independently or part of a geographically dispersed team and the willingness and capability to direct and influence others is essential. The candidate must be self-motivated, and have a positive “can do attitude”. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to work with fine detail in both documentation and software.
The candidate must have the ability to explain and communicate an idea to someone who is not in their immediate working context.
The ability to adapt to new software environments, tools or languages is essential, along with a pragmatic approach to Software Test and on-time delivery with resource and time constraints.
