Technical Engineering Lead for Manufacturing

Working within a manufacturing environment as part of a team, being the dedicated Technical Engineering Lead for the S-Series and other PXI Phase 5 HW modules. Dealing mainly with Technical issues in the cell and not the management of the material. Main responsibilities/duties to include:
Manage the team of Technicians, Diagnostic Engineers and Support the Cell Leader
Liaise with all areas of Engineering on complex faults and changes
Monitor workflow in the cell, as necessary eradicating technical difficulties
Co-ordination and facilitation of work, of own, plus delegation of tasks to others during Alpha/Lquip test and during technical investigation as required
Highlight issues to cell controller and project leader
Analyze fault data and look at ways of reducing issues in the cell by increasing tests further down the manufacturing process
Monitoring of workflow in designated cell, eradicating technical difficulties
Coordinate training of Cell staff on new products, being the source and interface between manufacturing and engineering
Coordinate the Cell team with diagnostic documents for failure conditions in order to make repairs to products
Interpret complex circuit diagrams in order to resolve test problems
Support Cell Leader with test matters
The candidate must have a minimum HND or Degree, RF experience, versed in digital modulation techniques, with good working knowledge of test and measurement instruments. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of RF manufacturing test methodologies. Familiarity with the operation of PCs including windows and programming languages and the ability to write software routines for debug and fault diagnosis is also essential. It would be highly desirable for the successful candidate to have management experience plus a familiarity of planning tools such as MS Project. The candidate must be able to demonstrate good communication skills and be a highly motivated individual.
